Some history on the 'Peoples Car':
After seizure of power in Germany by Adolf Hitler, there was a need to boost the economy. One idea that the young chacellor had was to design an affordable family car that every working class citizen could own. Hitler founded Volks Wagon, which literally means - 'Peoples Car' to do just this. Thus the most loved VW Beetle was born.
